Monterey Peninsula College freshman Roman Munoz placed fourth in the men's 4-mile race at the Northern California Community College Cross Country Championships at Toro Park in Salinas. Munoz clocked 20:43.5 to advance to the state final Nov. 18 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
